Curt Morales

Curt Morales has served as St. Philip’s Choir Director for the past three years. He enjoys working with choir members to create meaningful music that enhances worship and helps bring scripture to life. One of his favorite parts of ministry is connecting choir anthems and musical selections to the lectionary, helping reinforce the messages and themes of each worship season.

Curt lives in Brooklyn Center with his wife, Laurie, and their dog, Millie. Their son lives in Florida, where he works as a flight instructor. When leading the choir, Curt appreciates the opportunity to combine his love of music with his faith, creating worship experiences that inspire and encourage the congregation.

When asked what he loves most about St. Philip’s, Curt’s answer is simple: the people. He values the welcoming spirit and strong sense of community that make St. Philip’s such a special place. His favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:8, which encourages believers to focus on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable—a reminder to seek God’s goodness in all things.
