Just as Christ welcomed the little children, we too are happy to have little ones as a part of our church family! Children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate in the worship service. We believe that children are an integral part of our church community and that worship is important to the faith formation of every child.
Families with Children
Busy Bags
Activity bags containing age appropriate quiet toys and activities are hanging on the stands near the doors at the back of the sanctuary. We encourage families with young children take a bag when they enter. A sign on each stand has more information on the bags.
Children’s Sermon
Part way through the worship service, the children will be invited to come forward for the Children’s Sermon. Parents are welcome to come along if their child is hesitant.
During the program year (September – May), following the Children’s Sermon at the 9 a.m. traditional worship service, children will follow Miss Connie (or a teacher) to their Sunday school classes.
Following the Children’s Sermon at the 10:30 a.m. contemporary worship service, children will return to their seats with their families in the Sanctuary.
Nursery Care on Sunday Morning
Our Nursery is located near the Fellowship Hall. We welcome families to feel free to use the nursery during worship. Our nursery is open during worship and staffed with a licensed teacher from 8:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
Pray Ground
The Pray Ground allows families with young children to worship together. Located near the front of the Sanctuary, children will find quiet toys, coloring sheets, and books to read. Children are encouraged to play quietly and parents are encouraged to set in the pews nearby.
