Peder Flaten serves as Organist at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church. Although he is new to the St. Philip’s family, Peder is excited to be part of the congregation and looks forward to many years of sharing music in worship and helping lead the church in song.
Outside of St. Philip’s, Peder builds, rebuilds, refurbishes, and services pipe organs for a local firm in the Twin Cities. He also enjoys singing with the Summer Singers during the summer months, making music an important part of both his work and his life.
When asked what he loves most about St. Philip’s, the answer was easy—the beautiful organ and the wonderful acoustics of the sanctuary. Together, they create a meaningful space where music can inspire worship and bring people closer to God.
